About Us

    VKANA (Vishwakarma of North America) is a registered non-profit social and cultural association based in North America. VKANA was formed by the voluntary Vishwakarma followers to help members of the community in the areas of education, business development and health as well as senior citizen care. VKANA encourages everyone to volunteer to come forward to help the Vishwakarma families. The goal of VKANA is also to promote and educate about Lord Sri Vishwakarma.

    Prelude

    A group of Vishwakarma followers from the Washington, D.C. metro area came together in 2015 to create a formal nonprofit organization in order to serve the community in the areas of healthcare and education. VKANA spreads awareness and greatness of Lord Sri Vishwakarma, and also conducts the Vishwakarma Pooja annually. The tradition of conducting pooja  has continued as the number of Vishwakarma followers attending the pooja is also growing.

    In 2021, the members legally registered VKANA as a non-profit (501 c3) organization with the Department of Treasury in the USA.
